Goodbye year 6

 Today was our last day at school, we celebrated our Yr 6 students in assembly and had a brilliant time in water play. All the best for the future to a group of lovely young people.

Shrek the musical Jr

 We have been rehearsing for a performance of Shrek the musical Jr this term and this week preformed to the rest of the school and our parents in a theatre space at Bablake school. We did exceptionally well and really enjoyed it. We also had a chip dinner which we were eagerly waiting for between our shows. The performance was brilliant and we impressed our teachers and parents with our acting and singing talents.

Learn to cycle

 This last half term we have had the opportunity to improve our cycling skills. We had a session on our playground learning skills we would need to cycle on the road in a later lesson. Some of us learnt to ride and control our bikes well and have been out in our local area learning positioning and how to safely turn using hand signals. Well done to all.

Cycling tips for deaf children

Dance performance with the Deaf explorers

 Today we joined 5 other schools in Birmingham to put our dances, we have been learning, together and showcase them to our parents. We met our dance teachers once more to go over our routines and learn how the show would run. We also joined with the other schools to perform some of the tutting we had learnt together. We were slightly nervous but didn’t let that stop us putting on an amazing show. We are very proud of ourselves and have thoroughly enjoyed being involved in the Cog in the Wheel project.

 To inspire us in our new English work this week we had a surprise package arrive in our classroom. We were excited to learn information about our gift and play with her.
