Challenge 2 - pictures of where you would like to visit

Challenge 2 – A place you would like to go to  ( we will talk this through on your video call this week)
Think about a country in the world that you would like to go to, maybe a country that you have researched for your home learning project.  Then look on the internet to find some nice picture of places you could see in that country and draw a picture.

Look carefully at things that are different to the UK, maybe the trees or houses or animals you see,  or maybe you could visit a mountain, a beach or a rainforest there.  You can add some writing to your pieces to describe it or what you would like to do there.

And here are the pictures you sent us.

Learning about family

The children in Year 1 and 3 watched some of the programmes from the 'Our Family' series last term in school.  They should be able to tell you lots about Maia and her family, and should remember some words that we have learned  - uncle, auntie, cousin, sister, brother, Mr, Mrs, granny, grandpa - to name a few.  Although these programmes do not have sign language, they do have subtitles and are really fun to watch.  You might want to watch a programme that your child has seen before, and let them tell you all about it.  Then perhaps try a new one, with lots of talking about who is in the family and what they did.  Enjoy!

Here is a link to the BBC programme used in school.
