International space centre

Now let’s have a look at the international space centre.

The ISS circles the Earth in roughly 93 minutes, completing 15.5 orbits per day. It is about 400 kilometres from Earth.

It is possible to see the ISS from Earth, there are many apps to help you.

This is what you might see.

There are 5 astronauts living on the space station at the moment including the 2 we saw launch last week. They will need to eat, sleep, work and keep fit while weightless!

Here is a game for you to try, can you solve the puzzles to escape from the ISS
