Food topic

We have been looking at the story The enormous Turnip and are planning our own stories. Today we had the story Rude Vegetables. We then planted potatoes, carrots, parsnips, turnips and beetroot and wait excitedly for them to grow.

Today we have been looking at making numbers using Deines. We played lots of games to help us with our place value.

We have been looking at books by Jill Murphy. This week we are reading On The Way Home.

We thought about all the ways Claire said she got hurt and tried acting out our own ideas for why Claire may have been hurt.

Today we have made our own fossils.

Science Week

This week is science week. In the unit we have been learning about the scientist Mary Anning. We found out that she lived a long time ago and found fossils on the beach. She found some dinosaur bones.

Year 3 and 4 U.S.A Day

Year  3 and 4 had an exciting day learning all about the U.S.A. We looked at maps, made flags and enjoyed trying different American sports.
