Maths this week

In maths we have been looking at whole turns and half turns. We have also been looking at sharing and are beginning to look at doubling and halving.

Chinese New Year

To celebrate Chinese New Year we had a Chinese dinner which we all enjoyed.

We have been looking at the story The Willow Pattern Plate and the story of how the years got their animal names.

We have enjoyed playing in our Chinese themed role play area.

German Week

German week at school

Mr Machulik and Miss Heike came into the unit and showed us where Germany was on a may. We also looked at pictures of places in Germany.

We have been learning a song in German about an aviator.

Our topic for the rest of this half term is China. We are looking at the country and people. In our role-play area we have a Chinese house. We are looking at fiction and information books from China.
