This week has been extremely busy with awards night, leavers assembly, house treats and plenty of other exciting things to do. We are sad to be saying goodbye to one of our year 6 pupils but know he will do great at his new school and into the future.
This week we began building our robots for the new game, we are trying to work out mechanisms and structure security.
Today we took part in a golf event at Shirley Golf Course. We tried different activities to improve our skills. We worked really hard and had a brilliant time. Our combined score was 224 points which put us in 3rd overall. We received medals and had a picnic on the course before returning to school. Well done everyone.
This week we have looked at which countries are competing in the Euro football competition. We have looked at their flags and found them on the European map. We have held a draw to see which teams we will be supporting in the competition. First match Friday.
In our topic lessons we have been learning about the Anglo-Saxons, we have researched how they lived and what their houses were like. How the walls were made was interesting to us so we tried to recreate this in our classroom.

Today we took a group of children to compete in a Panathlon event. We had a great time trying lots of different activities. We were extremely excited to find we had come first in the competition.
