Autumn nature colour walk

This week we have been learning about autumn. We looked at how the tree leaves are changing colour and made some fantastic autumn animal pictures with the leaves we found.

Here is a great idea for this time of year, a colour walk. You could do this at home in your garden or on a walk at the weekend. What colours can you find at this time of year.

SEND active virtual dance festival

This year we joined with other schools virtually to learn a dance and celebrate the start of the school year working with SEND active. We enjoyed learning the dance and watching the other schools dance. It was great to see other classrooms and we loved the disco balls some classes had.

Andy Warhol art in KS1

This week we have learnt about the artist Andy Warhol. We drew autumn pictures and used our colour charts which showed the primary and secondary colours to help us choose colours for our pictures. We are really proud of our work and are excited for them to be displayed.

Sheila McKechnie National Campaigner Award

This week we have been very excited to be nominated for an award. A couple of years ago we made films to show how accessible sports venues near us were for deaf and disabled young people. We had a party on Wednesday to watch the award show live and were so happy and proud to be announced joint  winners in our category, The Young Campaigners Award. You can see our acceptance speech at 1.07 on the video above.
