We have been getting excited about Christmas and have learned some Christmas songs. Here are some songs to share and learn at home.
Little Donkey
Year 2 have enjoyed the last 10 weeks learning about play parks and building equipment for them with their Lego kits. They have learnt about forces and how to make our parks accessible for all. Our final session saw us building a huge park collaboratively and showing it to our head teacher.
The children from Howes school plus children from around the city in the Young Ambassador team have been busy getting the peace garden dug and planted, with the help of a brilliant group of helpers. It is looking good and we are excited to visit once it is complete.
During the October half-term, eight massive, mischievous monsters will be descending on Coventry and taking over rooftops in the city centre!

Here are some useful signs for the time of year.
This week we have been learning about autumn. We looked at how the tree leaves are changing colour and made some fantastic autumn animal pictures with the leaves we found.
Here is a great idea for this time of year, a colour walk. You could do this at home in your garden or on a walk at the weekend. What colours can you find at this time of year.
This year we joined with other schools virtually to learn a dance and celebrate the start of the school year working with SEND active. We enjoyed learning the dance and watching the other schools dance. It was great to see other classrooms and we loved the disco balls some classes had.
This week we have learnt about the artist Andy Warhol. We drew autumn pictures and used our colour charts which showed the primary and secondary colours to help us choose colours for our pictures. We are really proud of our work and are excited for them to be displayed.
This week we have had a curling competition. We really enjoyed learning this new game and were excited to win prizes. We hope to do some more competitions virtually with other schools.
